The NO-GO plug is larger in size than the GO plug. It is designed to be just large enough that it will not enter a hole that is within the upper tolerance limit, ensuring the hole is not too large. The GO plug represents the minimum size limit, while the NO-GO represents the maximum size limit
- GO Plug (Smaller): Should fit into the hole. It checks the lower limit (maximum material condition).
- NO-GO Plug (Larger): Should not fit into the hole. It checks the upper limit (least material condition).
- Appearance: The NO-GO plug is often marked with a red ring or has a shorter length than the GO plug.
