Mitutoyo America Corporation new series of System Laser Scanning Micrometers, Controller and IF modules. These laser micrometer models are IP-67 rated and have been
developed to better suit in-line/automated applications.
The Mitutoyo Laser Scanning Micrometers will be offered in two sizes/models: the LSM-02-A and the LSM30-A. The LSM-02-A measures diameters from 0.005 – 2mm while the LSM-030-A measures diameters 0.3-30mm. For diameters exceeding 30mm Mitutoyo will offer three large-diameter measuring kits to expand the measurement range to up to 180mm.
The new controller LSM-CU-A is compact, DIN rail mountable and designed for installation inside of equipment. They offer standard interfaces including USB-C, Digital I/O and Analog output.
There are also optional IF modules for adding industrial communications capabilities. The LSM-CU-A comes standard with user-friendly configuration software (LSMPAK). The optional IF modules provide the LSM-CU-A with multiple industrial communications options including Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, and CC-Link. These now allow the LSMs to be controlled and operated through the end user’s network.
As with legacy models, there will also be a range of accessories including calibration gage sets, guide pullies, work stages, air-blowers, laser stabilization covers and large diameter measuring kits.
