Renishaw SP600 Scanning Head

Renishaw SP600 Scanning Head

SP-600 by Renishaw Analogue probe for scanning and measurement on CMMs

The SP600 analogue probe enables a CMM to gather large amounts of data very rapidly for inspection or digitising purposes. It is ideal for scanning areas of fine detail and objects such as buttons, jewellery and coins, and for profile scanning and measurement on CMMs. The probe offers axis movement of 1mm in each direction (X, Y and Z) with stylus lengths up to 150mm (a 200mm stylus is possible with reduced measurement range) and may be orientated using a Renishaw PH10M motorised head.

Renishaw SP25M Scanning Probe

Renishaw SP25M Scanning Probe

The SP25M is actually two sensors in one! – enabling the user to SCAN for form measurement or reverse engineering and TOUCHTRIGGER PROBE (TTP) for geometry.

Highly accurate scanning performance with (M3) stylus lengths from 20 mm to 200 mm together with the ability to carry Renishaw’s TP20 range of touch-trigger probe modules mean that the SP25M system provides unmatched flexibility to optimize a measurement solution to suit the application. The probe is just 25 mm in diameter, compatible with Renishaw’s PH10M/MQ, PH6M and PHS1 probe heads, and can also be mounted using a multiwired extension bar. Together these combinations permit excellent reach and access to part features.

Creaform HandySCAN 3D|MAX Series

HandySCAN-MAX_Ergonomie-LR

HandySCAN 3DTM line-up, the MAX Series. The handheld MAX Series line of industrial 3D scanners, offers an impressive 3D scanning area of approximately 1m x 1m and was developed to acquire accurate 3D measurements of any large and complex surfaces. Featuring multiple scanning mode that allows users to choose between the fastest scanning time or maximum resolution, the new portable 3D scanners offer a level of versatility that will enable professionals to optimally measure any large parts and assemblies (up to 15 m). Combining the effect of speed, extra-large measuring volume, accuracy, portability, and simplicity, the new scanners will allow for an easy, efficient and robust measurement process of parts typically present in the aerospace, transportation, energy, mining and heavy industries, amongst others.

Thanks to its volumetric accuracy of 0,100 mm + 0,015 mm/m, ISO 17025 accreditation and compliance with the VDI/VDE 2634 part 3 standard, the MAX series provides metrology-grade results, making it ideal for quality control, precision link between parts with tight tolerancing and demanding reverse engineering of large parts. Additionally, the new scanners still feature Creaform’s powerful dynamic referencing algorithms, allowing for accurate and rigorous 3D scans of any object, whether in the lab, on the shop floor or in the field.

The system is plug-and-play and quick to set up. The 3D scans can be easily and seamlessly integrated into any CAD software, speeding up and simplifying product development, 3D inspection and reverse engineering processes of large parts and assemblies.

The MAX Series has all the attributes that made the HandySCAN 3D line-up the reference in the industry: true portability, blue laser technology, integrated photogrammetry, live meshing, and more. It also offers new key features, guaranteed to simplify any scanning process:

Flex Volume: This enables the user to scan with remarkable quality at a short standoff distance and measure large parts at very high speed from a longer standoff distance.
Smart Surface Algorithm: Its sophisticated image processing, combined with artificial intelligence, optimizes surface measurements for unparalleled tracking, better performance, better readings of difficult, contrasted finishes, and a simpler scanning process.
Real-Time Calibration: The MAX Series integrates the calibration step directly into the scanning workflow, performing it automatically and seamlessly.

“Again, Creaform brings impressive measurement capabilities outside of the metrology labs and enables manufacturers around the world to accurately measure anything, anywhere. Measuring large and complex 3D surfaces with a handheld device was previously very challenging or, in certain cases, even impossible. The MAX Series’ unique capability closes the gap and provides innovative dimensional measurement solutions for many manufacturers we’ve met over the years,” said Simon Côté, Product Manager at Creaform.

Mitutoyo MCOSMOS CMM Software

Mitutoyo MCOSMOS CMM Software is modular in design

Micat planner is one of a kind in its ability to program via MBD (Model base definition). Simply right click to add datums and alignments. (This function would take multiple mouse clicks with other CMM Software packages). Easily define a feature with MBD model and automatically generate a program automatically and very quickly.

GEOPAK New Functions
• New settings for elements – For the elements “Distance” and “Point” it is now possible to define the size of the appearance. For this purpose, the existing “Settings for 3D View” dialogue box was enhanced by the “Appearance” group.
• With the “Size factor” slider, the size of the appearance can be set between 0,1 (minimum appearance) and 10 (maximum appearance).
• Support of a form of a plane in the 3D View – The form of a plane is visualized by a powerful graphic as a topography based on the measured points once flatness is applied as a tolerance.
• A new callout for the “Flatness” tolerance is supported. The existing “Settings for 3D View” dialogue box was enhanced by the settings for the “Form of a plane”

CNC Parameter Enhancements
• The “CNC parameter” dialogue box was enhanced by the “Rotary table” group for the rotation speed that allows the user to enter their own values or choose between two preset values, maximum rotation speed, and the default rotation speed.
• The setting of the rotation speed affects only the “Rotate table” command. The existing “CNC start parameter” dialogue box was enhanced by the “Rotary table” group.

CAT1000 New Functions
•The “4-Axis Scanning” function enables the CAD-based generation of GEOPAK scanning commands with a collision-free scan paths in 4 axis. The function enables collision-free scanning without probe change even with swiveled probe positions. This is particularly useful for rotationally symmetrical parts.

1. Scanning probe
2. Rotary table
3. Scan path with control points “4-Axis Scanning” function can also be started in the “Create section” dialogue box.

Hexagon Metrology ROMER Portable Measuring Arms

ROMER

The new ROMER Absolute Arm is absolutely advanced. Drawing inspiration and resources from the entire Hexagon Metrology product family, and all ROMER arms that came before, the ROMER Absolute Arm has been redesigned to ensure the ultimate user experience. A new ergonomic wrist is the first to be designed around the complex contours of the human hand. Sensory feedback enables users to take measurements in even the most challenging shop environments.

The ROMER Absolute Arm is still the easiest and fastest to use in the industry. Intelligent Quick Change Probes require no special tools or recalibration after probe changes. Absolute encoders “know” where the arm is at all times, eliminating the need for complex homing procedures. A thermally stable dual carbon fiber tube construction does not lock up when temperatures change.

The Absolute Arm is an absolute return on investment.

M3 Ø6 mm silicon nitride ball, carbon fibre stem, L 75 mm, EWL 75 mm

Straight styli are designed to inspect simple features where direct, unobstructed contact with a measured surface is possible. A carbon fibre stem is very lightweight and ideal for applications where weight is critical. Silicon nitride is similar to ruby in terms of its physical properties. Its lower coefficient of friction makes it ideal for use with most scanning applications, particularly aluminium parts. Silicon nitride is not recommended for scanning cast iron due to abrasive wear.

Equivalent to Q-Mark part number: TM3-6078-G-SN
