Mahr MarSurf CM mobile portable optical surface metrology tool.  The MarSurf CM mobile include a 16-bit high-dynamic-range (HDR) camera that improves data density by 5x and low light sensitivity by 256x ensuring optimum contrast for highly dynamic surfaces while maintaining the robust performance. The Mahr system has a low noise-to-signal ratio . The Mahr MarSurf CM mobile  has  speed—up to 100 frames per second—and highest resolution confocal measurements on the shop floor or in the field.

This compact system has a motorized XYZ-axes and enables measurements to be performed directly on large parts for user-friendly surface analysis. The CM mobile is robust and reliable enough to be used on the shop floor or in the field, and provides consistently high resolution even over large measuring areas.

The MarSurf XR 1 combines mobile surface metrology with the advantages of a MarWin evaluation software. This means, for a roughness or waviness measurement, a simple all-in-one PC as well as the suitable drive unit suffice. Depending upon the customer’s needs, laptops or industrial PCs can also be implemented.
Bluetooth technology offers a special degree of freedom, for in addition to the cable connection between the drive unit and evaluation unit, the connection functions also cable-free. The measurement can be comfortably activated by touchscreen or the respective drive unit and the data transferred to the computer.

The Mahr Federal MarSurf WS 1 is an optical surface sensor which operates on the basis of white-light interferometry. This technology enables
rapid, high-precision recording of surface topography on a wide range of materials.

The design is similar to that of a traditional interferometer, but uses white light instead of coherent light. White light has a short coherence length and therefore shows excellent properties for measuring surface topographies. In contrast to traditional interferometry, height information can be clearly assigned in the
case of height steps in the test specimen.
