Phase II PHT-5000 Digital Motorized Brinell Hardness Tester, 8-650 HBW, 20x Magnification. Optical Brinell Hardness Video Measurement System includes the basic functions of an imaging system such as image capture, camera calibration, image processing, geometric measurement, document labeling, and album management; automatically or manually measures the indentation diameter and calculates the Brinell hardness (HB) value; HB2 (DIN 1605 standard) automatic measurement.

It also automatically or manually measures the indentation diameters on the calibration sample and the test sample, and automatically interpolates the Brinell hardness (HB) value for the test sample; Converts Brinell (HB) to other hardness scales—Validates the test results with sample dimensions; automatically updates the statistical values such as average, min and max, standard deviation,Cp and Cpk;. The PHT5000 does not include a laptop.

Renishaw recommends using OMP60 with the OMI-2, OMI-2T and OMM-2 receivers with modulated transmission, although OMP60 is also compatible with existing OMI and OMM / MI 12 receivers, operating in legacy mode. This means that MP7, MP8, MP9 and MP10 users can upgrade to OMP60 and benefit from its innovative features.

The OMP60M is also available which enables probe inspection of part features that would be inaccessible to the standard OMP60. It allows fitment of adaptors, extensions and Renishaw’s LP2 touch probe.

LP2, LP2H and LP2DD probes can be used in optical, inductive and hard-wired systems. Optical transmission is best suited to field retrofitting and optional fitment.

The optical transmission method requires either an OMP40M, RMP40M, OMP60M or an RMP60M.  These provide a variety of solutions to suit different machine sizes, but each unit is functionally similar. They enable the probe to be turned on and off via an M-code, or turned on via an M-code and turned off via an internal timer.
